We acquired this former garden site in Crystal Palace in 2020. Its ‘backland’ location presented some design and planning challenges: we needed to ensure that we didn’t affect any of the neighbours and that we maximised outlook and light for the future occupiers.

We secured planning consent from Croydon Council for a development of 8 flats and a small house, within 8 months of acquiring the site, with both a happy council and happy landowners. The planning officer commented “I would like to personally thank you for the very high quality of your application submission, which I think is also reflected in the very low number of residential objections we received.”
