We obtained planning permission at appeal for the development of four large ‘arts and crafts’ style detached houses in this peaceful Chilterns village. The site’s location in the Green Belt and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty presented particular planning policy challenges. When we were introduced to the site, another developer had already attempted a planning application and had been refused.

Following the refusal, the site risked being downvalued or becoming unsellable. We purchased the site at its original value, pursued a fresh planning application and defended it at Appeal on behalf of the landowner. The whole process, including Appeal and completion, was completed within 18 months. The site is currently under construction.
